2025 LCMS DFW Hometown Middle School Mission Trip
June 29 - July 2, 2025 • Dallas Lutheran High School • $100/Participant
Who: All students entering 6th grade to existing 8th grade
This trip will be a collaborative effort and partnership between students and adult leaders from Christ the King Waxahachie, Our Savior Rockwall, Trinity Weatherford, Peace Hurst, Prince of Peace Carrollton and Zion Dallas. Students will have the opportunity to make new friends while strengthening bonds within their own youth group!
Registration and Deposit Due: Sunday May 18
We will start together during the Connect Hour for POPLC Serve Sunday, then join the rest of the churches following lunch and will return to church that Tuesday afternoon around 2 pm.
Location, Housing, and Meals: Groups will stay at Dallas Lutheran School in north Dallas and serve throughout the greater DFW area. Participants will need to bring an air mattress and bedding as we will be sleeping in classrooms. Dallas Lutheran has gym/locker room style bathrooms. We will be providing our own meals (continental style breakfast, sack lunch, and dinner made by participating churches) students will be assigned into teams to help with serving and cleanup.
Daily activities:
· Morning and evening devotions
· Morning and afternoon service projects. This could include offsite projects for organizations like Feed My Starving Children, CC Young nursing home, White Rock Center of Hope, etc. or onsite projects like fleece tied blankets for pregnancy center or children’s hospital, homeless blessing bags, or helping with projects at Dallas Lutheran.
· Small group time with your youth group
· Games and activities in the evening
