Expansion Mission Network (EMN)
There is an exciting new partnership that Prince of Peace is establishing with Expansion Mission Network (EMN) to further expand our reach in our community; specifically, with the Latino community that are now the largest of Texas' population! EMN is a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) foundation that has successfully planted seven Latino churches within sponsoring congregations over the past five years (see https://www.expansionmn.org). EMN is actively working on getting a Hispanic service here at POP started by Christmas 2023. A Spanish Bible Study is being held on Thursday night concurrently with our English as a Second Language (ESL) class (see https://www.princeofpeace.org/serve/opp-detail/534783/english-as-a-second-language/), with childcare provided. Please invite your Spanish speaking friends and neighbors to be part of this exciting new ministry! Events reaching our local Latino community are also being planned.
