The Game of Life teaches us that wealth comes by chance, but in Real Life we often believe the words of Deuteronomy 8:17, “My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.” As with every aspect of life, the Lord gives from His abundance to advance His plan and purpose. In Real Life, married couples can, and sometime should, spend their life together without children. In The Game of Life, it is nearly impossible to get through the game without having children. One aspect The Game of Life gets right is that there is no option for divorce. The message is clear, children need two parents – a mother and a father joined in marriage. In a similar way, we often view people who are single as not properly playing the game. Why were you never married? You’ll remarry after your spouse passed away, right? The Game of Life does not view singleness as a gift from God, but in Real Life the Bible does view singleness as a gift from God. Join us to discover God’s gift of singleness.
When you play The Game of Life, you can almost guarantee who will win and who will lose within the first couple spins of the wheel. Become a doctor or lawyer – you’ll likely win. Should you choose the University path or the Business path? The pressure that exists at the beginning of the game is being experienced in Real Life. High School graduates feel enormous pressure to make something of themselves and choose the right career path. Join us to take a deep breath and long look at God’s Word which assures us that God has a plan and purpose for your life.
What do successful and unsuccessful people have in common? Luck. Successful people are the lucky ones and unsuccessful people are the unlucky ones. Most people, even Christians, live as if life consists of a chance spin of the wheel. The Bible reveals a different and deeper reality of life. One where the sovereign Lord reigns by power and authority rather than chance. Join us and learn that the secret to Real Life is found in believing that you were made BY and FOR Jesus Christ.
The last words someone says to us are often the most important.
