New Life in Christ
We invite all those wishing to bless their child with the gift of baptism to attend the Baptism Milestone class offered four times a year. This class is designed to celebrate your child and the gift of faith our Lord promises through baptism. We will also introduce our Milestone Ministry that maps out the spiritual journey that awaits your child. Baptism is a sacrament by which God uses water and His Word to forgive sin and create faith in believers. Baptism is not just plain water, but it is the water included in God’s command and combined with God’s word. Baptism works forgiveness of sins, rescues from death and the devil, and gives eternal salvation to all who believe.

Bible
Reading the Word
We invite children, ages 1st-3rd grade, and their parents to join us in the treasure hunt for God's Word. Children will receive their own Bible to take home and together parents and children will explore how to read the Bible and learn why we want to read the Bible. There will be a special recognition during worship at 10:30 with class following at 12:00-2:30.
The Bible is God’s holy, inspired word. In it we find the essence of Jesus, our creator, sustainer, and savior. The Bible is divided into two parts, the Old Testament and the New Testament. There are 66 books in the Bible: 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. The Bible was written over a span of 1500 years and remains the bestselling book of all times.

First Communion
Jesus' Body and Blood
We invite youth 5th-8th grade to participate in this milestone. First Communion is comprised of 4 classes ending with students receiving communion for the first time during worship. Classes will be held on Wednesdays at 5:30-6:45. We encourage all those wishing to enjoy the gift of God’s love and grace through the Lord’s Supper to join. Communion, also called the Lord’s Supper, is the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ under the bread and wine, instituted by Christ Himself for us to eat and to drink for the forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation.

Confirmation
I Believe
At Prince of Peace, we see the middle school years as a formational season for youth to seek, ask questions, and own their faith. We would like to partner with families to embrace these years of discovery and independence and provide a path for parents to lead their youth.
Confirmation is intentional instruction and conversations about our relationship with Jesus, faith, the Bible, and Lutheran doctrine. Confirmation is parent-led and church-supported. Confirmation culminates with an opportunity for the youth to ‘confirm’ their faith publicly before the congregation.
Our hope is that Confirmation will not only provide an opportunity for the students to know what they believe, own their faith, and profess it, but also through the Confirmation journey faith conversations will be practiced in a comfortable and natural way within families and continue throughout the teen years to become a familiar interaction.

Graduation
Taking the Next Steps
High School graduates and their parents are invited to the Graduation Milestone! As a church family we look forward to celebrating with you in worship and we also want to help prepare you for the next chapter. This class is designed to help parents and graduates reflect on God’s faithfulness over the past 18 years and to initiate conversations about the faith plan moving forward. Important practical and wise tools will be shared to prepare our graduates so they can be confident and strong in their faith and ready for the path God has ahead for them. Graduates will be recognized during worship at the 8:00 or 10:30 services and we encourage all parents and graduates to attend the class at 12:00-3:00. Lunch is included.

Stepping Stones
Steps Along the Path of Faith
Stepping Stones are key teachings for individuals to grow in their faith which are not specific to any age.
Stepping Stones keep families walking with Jesus toward the next faith milestone.
Five stepping stones will be highlighted: Blessing, Worship, Servanthood, God’s Best for You, and Sticky Faith.
Blessing
Blessings are a key aspect to any family in scripture. Children receive this blessing from their parents, and in turn continue to bless their own children later in life. These blessings include continually praying for your children and teaching your children to pray.
Worship
Worship on Sundays as a family is a key aspect of faith development for any child. We firmly believe this is an essential part of a person’s faith - no matter how old one is. Worship goes beyond Sundays. Worship is lived out every day.
Servanthood
We aim to see the needs of God’s people in the world around us. God has called us to be helpers and healers. We seek to leave God’s mark on everything we do by being the very hands and feet of Jesus Christ.
Sticky Faith
How do we create a home which strengthens and encourages the faith God has given us, so much so that this faith sticks to our children even after they’ve graduated high school? We look to build our homes with Jesus as the center so our children know how to follow him even when they no longer live at home.
God's Best For You
God has made each and every one of us unique in His special way. Our bodies should be valued and understood as belonging to God. Through this stepping stone children and youth will see the blessings of sexuality, relationships, and identity found in Jesus.
